Melissa Brown

OTR/L, RAC-CT, CSRS, CDP
Chief Operating Officer

Melissa Brown has over 15 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist and consultant in the skilled nursing, hospital and home care settings. Melissa has served as a compliance officer and clinical liaison for regional contract rehabilitation companies. She focuses on pragmatic and practical solutions that are cost effective and realistic. She is a self-proclaimed “PDPM Nerd” and has read and studied over 3,500 pages of regulations and Technical Expert Panel reports to analyze the payment model. Some of her other specialties include fall prevention, interdisciplinary pain management, wound care, wheelchair positioning, and oversight of all aspects of rehabilitation. Additionally, she is an expert in improving team dynamics and assisting with efficiency and task delineation within an organization. In her free time, she enjoys walking her pet Yorkie, Professor Rolo, or volunteering at her church as an annual church school “Garage Sale Queen” and running the church’s food pantry ministry.

Devin Kassi

PT, DPT
VP of Home Health Operations

Devin Kassi has over 15 years of operational experience in the continuum of care, specializing in Home Health Services. She has overseen operations for Home Health, Hospice, Home Care, Skilled Nursing, and Outpatient settings for Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Free-Standing Assisted Living Communities, Memory Care Communities, and General Community. Devin has vast experience in leading home health teams and financial operations, managing agency benchmarks, tracking revenue cycles, as well as implementing effective operational processes, policies, and procedures. When she is not consulting, Devin spends time with her daughter and husband. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys hiking and outdoor activities.

Melissa Keiter

RN, RAC-CT, DNS-CT, DON
Lead Consultant of Nursing Services

Melissa Keiter, R.N. has more than 20 years of administrative and management experience long term care facilities. Her primary expertise is in revenue enhancement and strategic planning of Case Mix Index (CMI) and Medicare RUG utilization. Melissa conducts a variety of operational and clinical nursing audits for customers in facilities ranging from large metropolitan nursing facilities to rural communities. She focuses on Department of Health surveys, policy and procedure implementation and mock surveys. She also aides and oversees interim management and consulting projects as an Interim MDS Coordinator and Interim Director of Nursing, impacting all aspects of nursing services. Melissa is RAC-CT certified for MDS coverage, and certified as a Director of Nursing and Nurse Educator. When she is not consulting, Melissa enjoys spending time with her daughter and two sons, especially attending her youngest son’s baseball games.

Regina Slater

Lead Consultant

Regina Slater has over 12 years of medical speech pathology experience with a specialty in caseload development and progressive neurological disorders. Her comprehensive clinical experience spans across medical settings including outpatient clinics, acute care, tracheostomy/ventilator specialty hospitals, TBI continuum of care community re-integration, Aging In Place Assisted Living and Independent Living campuses, home health and skilled nursing facilities. With extensive experience as a Regional director and Compliance officer in multiple settings Regina is an expert at developing, monitoring and maintaining strong rehabilitative departments from both a clinical outcomes and operational process and procedure perspective. She has a passion for educating physicians and clinicians and has presented at ASHA on the importance of clinically specialties, provided community education and overseen the clinical and professional mentorship of Clinical Fellows every year. When not consulting, managing, treating or mentoring, Regina enjoys catching up on new cutting edge treatment techniques and spending quality time with her son, two “furbaby” puppies, family and friends.

Ashley Haltenhof

CDP Educator

As a Speech Language Pathologist, Ashley has focused her specialization in dementia care and has supervised many new Clinical Fellows in Speech Language Pathology. Ashley has experience as a Regional Director for a multi-state therapy provider in Continuing Care Retirement Communities and free standing Skilled Nursing Facilities. She also has expertise in operational strategies within long-term care settings, and has obtained her RAC-CT certification to further enhance her knowledge and provide education to nurses and administration in this setting. Having managed up to 200 clinicians, Ashley is skilled in providing leadership to therapists and other healthcare professionals in an ever changing healthcare environment. She is a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, as it is her passion to promote quality care and education to better the lives of those living with dementia. Ashley is an avid dog lover and music enthusiast, giving her an ability to connect with many residents in her communities with these same interests.

Chelsea Boyle

Chelsea is a licensed Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Chelsea has developed progressive programs and systems for long term care and continuing care retirement communities including nursing and rehabilitation collaboration, Medicare documentation, clinical reporting systems, EMR management, and implementation of innovative and comprehensive compliance and operational strategies. Chelsea’s leadership experience has included management of over 900 employees spanning multiple states across the healthcare spectrum. She founded Gravity Healthcare Consulting to provide specialized and customized consulting, training and mentorship in the healthcare communities she serviced. Chelsea endeavors to be a trusted resource and partner with the healthcare teams to promote improved systems and processes through auditing, education, and training programs, strategies to advance health care reform, and advocating for excellence in care. Chelsea is a member of Leading PA, Leading Age MD, District of Columbia Association (DCHCA), Pennsylvania Health Care Association (PHCA), National Association for Support of Long-Term Care (NASL), and American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Chelsea spends her time outside of work with family and attending her children’s many sports activities.
